Yep, clapping works fantastic as an audio/video sync.

Why not try clapping a few times to sync the audio, then both parties share their footage for each person to edit. Then you can have two feeds where you could go back and forth between for the final product.

Connect phones, record on apps, clap, see how it turns out. Based on the weather patterns, I won't be riding for a couple of weeks

Might be fairly complicated to pull it all together, but I'm sure Resolve can handle it.

No worries, I can't ride until early March. So maybe we can sync up then? I have an ftp server we can use to share files too, if you don't mind.

Maybe we need to come up with a script too, or an idea too. Something to talk about on our long distance phone call Dual Vlog thing. This is a new concept/idea for me so my expectation bar is very low, LoL.
