I was going to try this on my ride this weekend, bit the weather isn't playing nice. Our plan was to each record and share footage, when I get a chance to do it, I'll let you know how it works out.
Hoping to do one in person in March or April. But also curious about a virtual one, I am not sure how a Virtual one would work at all but sounds interesting. It all depends on the other person. I have one that lost their footage. Then many more that were great about collaboration and sharing files. Also, are doing the dual vlog in person or virtual?
Sounds cool John. I'll have to check out your Brighton video again for that Dual Vlog part. For sharing footage I'm totally down with that. I even have a ftp server where we can drop files to share and vise versa.Following because I want to do some dual vlogs too!
We each edited our own footage and cut it into videos for our channels. I used 2 cams and 1 picked him up when he was on my left, so it made for some interesting stoplight footage. [this whole thing is shown in my Brighton Dam video]

Sounds good Dewey, looking forward to it.I was going to try this on my ride this weekend, bit the weather isn't playing nice. Our plan was to each record and share footage, when I get a chance to do it, I'll let you know how it works out.
Haha, that's funny and sad at the same time.I've only tried a couple of times on rides with a mate, but his helmet audio sucks and most of the ride was me asking him to repeat lol![]()

Oh, go it John. A Dual Vlog in the sense that when you are next to each other you your both on camera but not a full out back and forth Dual Vlog like Chaseontwowheels and Yummi. That's cool that your mic got both conversations, better than nothing.Basically it was any part where my buddy and I were side-by-side, having a conversation. My mic [in my helmet] picked up his voice pretty well, so I had both sides of those conversations.
Side note: Apparently, with my bike off, someone can be standing 10 or so feet away and still get picked up clearly. I have to boost the audio volume if they're that far away, but it makes for great video [IMHO]! Also, my wife's voice when she's called and I'm recording... well, it sometimes gets picked up by the mic, even though the SENA speaker is like 1.5" away from my mic.

Would be cool someday to do a virtual Dual Vlog somehow, how do you think we could pull that off?![]()
You would have to have a subject picked to have a conversation about, it def wouldn't work to talk about what you see. Lol
Haha, that was funny John.I know, I was just trying to be funny
At that point, you have a rolling podcast. An interesting idea, for sure.

A remote phone call would be an interesting idea, I don't think I have seen a YouTube video do that yet. A Dual VLog telecommute where both people are riding in different places. And if its international maybe we could use a free chat app like the LINE app. With a comms system, it could be done over a phone call. Just the same as talking to someone over a comms system.
Just remember, if you're gonna do it, you gotta find a way to both record the 2nd person and sync the audio for later.
