Old Vloggers Vs New Vloggers

Just wanted to see everyone else's thoughts on the subject. I been viewing lots of vlogs from established vloggers ( wont name them). Most of their content is good, but I don't see much difference between what they are pushing out and some of the newbie's that one this site. I've seen some great vlogs that only have like 20 views!

Just makes you wonder.

For sure! One of my favourite motovloggers right now has barely any views, and also has quite a number of videos up.

For sure. There is a dude named Dan the Fireman or something like that on youtube. He has barely any views, pretty good stuff he puts out. I also like many of vloggers that are on here. Too many to mention, and again I am repeating myself- not a big difference between them and the established guys like Jake/Chase/Spacepod/Baker etc etc

Just my 2cents

It's all about getting the initial surge of views and getting noticed. You have this effect with actors who appear to come out of nowhere once they finally get recognition.

I check my views now and again, sometimes for the amount of work put in to The video, I wish there was more, but I am just happy that I am able to make and upload them

It does make you wonder what people want though....i mean take Royal Jordanian (Big London Vlogger - probably the biggest) he does not narrate hardly at all and most of his footage is kinda people action / re-action type stuff. He has the awesome Nuda on his side and people really love his vids....Just to repeat his Nuda is AWESOME....

Tru Dat,

i think i am my own biggest fan ... i really like watching my own videos once they are complete.

Youtube is handy aswell as i get to store all my vids there instead of taking up space on my HDD drive.

Yeah... i think he has hit it off more with his cycle tours now ... just goes to show you should vlog because you like it first and foremost.... unless your lucky enough to be "chase".

Do wonder how much "Professional" motovloggers make i have to admit, but if it ain't in the 10's of thousands then i'm sticking me 'puter Job. :)

Adaptation is important, but when your videos are just people pissing you off how do you evolve. More effects more music? Dan said it best
Every vlogger tends to have a shelf life. M13 for example was the number one but he hasn't really evolved unlike others

Its sad to think a motovlogers life time is shorter than most of those douchey YT vlogs

A good channel with consistent recurring views from old videos is what makes the money. Moto-vlogging is not a great viewer base anyway. Gaming channels or any channel with boobs or crazy stuff like that how 2 basic make the money..

i have no problem telling people i made over 13k USD last year from my channel and i didn't really push the envelope in terms of consistent content.

make sense?

From what I've been taught the amount of hours you put into videos, it makes the pay off less than most countries minimum wage

I'm sure this is true, but just like bikers don't ride primarily for transport, we don't make videos primarily for cash :)

I can never imagine making money from this, but if I did id only want enough to cover the cost of my bike. the rest would have to go either back into making the videos (Trips or gear) the rest Charity

Agree with all, keeping it for fun means i can do what ever i like ..... even if no one else does, cos it don't matter.

if you do it for cash, its a job. Goodbye all your fun

What the newbies are doing vs the old ones.. Now it seems like everyone is just giving away shit, All the freaking time.
The old days , no one bought subs like that. They got views by wheelie's and endos, or riding in the bush etc
