Blocking Out Plates/speedo/faces, Is There Any Easier Way?

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but its fairly easy to do in Davinci Resolve.

My process is as follows:
- cut the part where I need to hide my speedo.
- go to Color tab, to the relevant cut: new Node, add a square mask, position the mask where you want it. And then under Tacking, hit the forward button to start the tracking - and that's it. - sometimes you might need to manually make some adjustments.
- Next time where you have another portion of your footage, where you need to redo this, cut again just that specific part, go back to Colors tab, and then you can actually copy the effects from your previous cut to this one. The only thing you'll need to do, is start the tracker again.

Process is almost exactly the same in Premiere Pro, except I use Gaussian Blur but everything else is very similar. Just can be annoying if I move my head and the GoPro takes the speedo out of shot a bit, then having to re-do masks can be time consuming but it is what it is!

yes, that too actually. Forgot to mention it, that when you add a mask, you also need to add the desired effect. I use Mosaic blur, but gaussian blur it's quite popular.
