What Language should I (new vlogger) use?

I'm hoping to eventually do a few vlogs in French and German when I get better at the languages, but the vast majority will always be in English.

English, since I have both English and Afrikaans (my native language) in my family and wife's family. I utter most expletives in Afrikaans though (an example in my latest vid, although that particular expletive is fairly universal), the mind reverting back to my home language under duress LOL!

I vlog exclusively in English because my language skills are somewhat limited. But recently got to try a bit of Spanish in Spain and now I live in Germany I'm obviously learning as quickly as possible to speak German. Currently it's just the odd German swear word that finds it's way into the videos!

English is the universal language of the internet, but I think vlogging in a foreign language is a great way to develop your confidence.

hey, I do think englsich is the foreign language to use if you wanna go international...but I've also been doing vlogs in other languages, depends on the situation/tourists etc.

dutch, german, french and even luxembourgisch :D

If you want more views I say speak English. If anyone says anything negative about your English skills let me know and I'll tell you some things you can say as a reply.
i'm agreed with Kryten, basically, what audiences do you want

Just ask yourself what audience you want to have (worldwide/local). If you think your English skills are good enough, I would always use English. I also wouldn't give a f*** about when somebody mocks about your English. Just be yourself and people will like you :)

Exactly ;) . *Like* :D (!)

(great attitude to things, btw ^^ - be careful, though, it might be contagious :p heheh...)

Thank you! I cared long enough about hateful comments of other people, until I realized they were just trying to pull me down, because they weren't satisfied with their life  This will never happen again! Since I've changed this attitude of mine, so many great things have happened to me.

Exactly again :D ... don't let those trolls get you down :p ... just laugh at them for their ineptitude ;) . A person who is nice or doesn't put down is almost always higher than those who do. Do what you enjoy and ignore the others who say otherwise :) .....

Cheers ^_^ ~

I would say both! or do a mix like do a video in english and another in your native language that way you can get all the viewers!! hehe

English is the best option for sure. Everyone (well, anyone that has access to YouTube) speaks English. It is the language of the world after-all!

Someday Chinese will be, I bet  - 1.4B people... yikes  !!!
Save for Chinese invasion of the US mainland I don't see how that will ever happen. And then there is the big learning curve, Chinese has absolutely nothing with Germanic languages. French was too hard for me... Chinese? I'd be the equivalent of a mute I am sure...

Well, if guys keep on going over to China like I did, marrying Chinese girls and bringing them back over here, then you'll be seeing a lot their kids in school speaking it as a second language like their mothers :p (the mother's first language :p ). Trust me, many Chinese people want to live in the U.S. (the quality of life is so much higher)... it's only our broken immigration system that holding them, and especially the highly educated ones, back :( . I know how broken the system is... after getting married, it took us nearly two years to get my wife a green card with a Senator's intervention... and my case was faster than quite a few ~_~ . Some five, ten years and some never can come here for no reason at all :( . Before 2001, it only took a 1.5 months for a Chinese spouse to get a green card - so sad >_> .....

Whoa, I'm diverging big time here, sorry :p . Just something that's been bugging me for a long time ~_~ . Government should never stop love and people from being together >:( ! Just my two cents ;) ~
