Thanks. The last time this happened a van attempted to jump it but stopped just before going through with it, smoking his tyres. A train was going full speed (they normally slow down) through the crossing and would have surely collided with the van.

THe UK is awful for deaths at crossings. It's normally people running over

A girl died at a crossing nearby because she had her ipod on, full blast, with noise cancelling phones, and didnt hear the train or wasnt paying attention to the crossing.

Anyway, i share your pain at level crossings- about 5 out of 6 on one ride out had tge barriers down, i did an upload of it. Frustrating!

Damn right it was. Went near one of them today, as I rode out of the side turn (heading away from it thankfully I did notice that the barriers were down!
