15Min Upload Limit

Youtube have set the max video length to 15 minutes.
Is it just me or is that just going to promote long, boring videos?

Finally! That's AWESOME!

Two things will happen:

It will encourage the uploading of long and boring videos (not so cool)
It will help people making really entertaining documentary/multiple clips type videos infinitely better.

I'm looking forward to seeing which takes precedence

Just because you CAN do a 15 minute video doesn't mean you SHOULD do a 15 minute video. I liken it to a fat chick wearing a speedo, she CAN, but should she REALLY? Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! (Unless ur into some fat chick fetish, but I digress)

Various types of users have been able to upload longer vids for years now. But, YT actually advises partners not to upload long vids because they're inconvenient to watch & that doesn't help boost ad-revenue.

You can always spot dull vids in a matter of seconds anyway. If a vid doesn't grab your attention right away (or when you click around on the timeline a bit) don't lolligag, just move onto something else pronto.

It doesn't make a huge difference whether people upload 10 or 15 minute vids tbh. Boring vids are still boring whether they're 5, 10 or 15 minutes long. Most vids are long because people don't like editing their footage quite as much as they like shooting it.

It is a sad commentary on modern culture when 4 minutes or less is the attention span of the average YT spectator. ADD/HD is certainly to be redefined in this and future generations -nearly everyone has it .

Motovlog suicide = Uploading a 10 minute video which begins with: "sorry for the crappy: (camera angle, audio, topic, etc, etc.)" Every new vlogger seems to think the goal is to put up a video. ANY video. And be sure to fill up the entire 10:00 limit.

That said, if it takes a motorvlogger longer than a few weeks to realize no one want to watch them ride on endless stretches of boring roads with poor quality recording equipment, while stumbling for an even more boring topic, they are most certainly daft

YT has this nice feature called "Edit Subscription" Then "Unsubscribe from ..." It is a really convenient feature that actually comes in handy at times.
